I ended up with a major surplus. I didn't realise I unlocked shouts with the souls until like 5 hours in at which point I had killed like 40 dragons

even when getting lucky with random encounters there's no way you can find more than that in five hours

I was exaggerating. I had around 20 all together at that point. I just hadn't used any of the souls

when you don't use them the souls pile up. I had done numerous dragon walls or burials or whatever you call them plus the ones that I encountered for the story

i'm at 77 hours and level 29
