People should care.

Most people do care, but priorities in day to day life don't start with country first. As 9/11 showed we are more than capable of standing behind our nations in a time of crisis.

Now, the slumping kinds with headphones speaks more about a degrading society with the break up of the nuclear family, the promotion of "corruptive" elements via mass communication and a lack of proper discipline within the home.

I don't think we should stand behind our nation only in times of crisis. Believe me, the last think i do when i wake up at 7:00 in the morning is turn on the Star Spangled Banner and raise the flag, but patriotism should be more prevalent than it currently is.
I agree with you about the lack of discipline and such. I just don't understand... when did parents let it become OK for kids to be disrespectful toward anyone? especially their country that keeps them happy and safe?

in grade K i punched a chinese kid in the nose and they told my parents

:atomsk:

In pre-k i bit a kid and he bled. His parents told my dad to have me checked for rabies, and my dad told them to have their son checked for AIDs.

In 11th grade, I walked into the bathroom to take a piss, and all of the urinals were being used so I pushed the stall door open. To my surprise, one of the token retarded kids (his name was John) was taking a shit on the toilet and started screaming. I freaked out and ran out of the bathroom.

John likes to dance around and pretend that he's talking to the president over a phone, by the way.

Wtf that's retarded! Let's throw ALL patriotism and appreciation for the armed forces out the window. It's not like we're at war or anything.
bush says we're not at war

But even then, you shouldn't blindly support your country. I can understand World War II and all that, because it was actually to help people, but this shit we're doing to the middle east and sucking Israel's cock is doing no good for anyone.

It's not blind support if you know what you're supporting: a country of opportunity that was built on the hard work and lives of it's citizens as well as members of the armed  forces. WW II goes hand in hand with every other reason i say the pledge. Rememberance, respect, and appreciation.

It's not that at all. You think the US gives a shit about any of that?

The United States of America's support for Israel is a strategic alliance. In other words, we're using them, so they're basically a little colony we used to keep an eye on the Russians, and now the Chinese.

However, these days for some reason the support has increased. I guess it's because Bush thinks that they're helping us with the so-called war on terror. Interestingly, we are hated by the "terrorists" for supporting Israel in the first place.

In second grade I was walking to the bathroom, and at the end of the hallway I saw a camel, a real life camel. just standing there. No one else, just a camel.

I walked back to the classroom lol.

It turned out that day there was some sort of animal trainer/collector at the school to show the kids the animals at an assembly, so the sighting wasn't quite as weird anymore lol.
