I was still getting ready for school I guess when the first plane hit, because it was already on the news when I got to my first class.
I was sitting in my first class, social studies.

Hey I was in that class too.
I was sleeping, my mom told me what happened as I was walking to the bus. I think I was in grade 4 at the time.
I was at home watching tv. Wondering where all planes would fly into buildings.
School.
God, this is like all we talked about at school today.
Stupidest thing was in science: "How can we use the environment to prevent terrorism?" psyduck;
I was in school. The teachers kept talking silently and kept the TV on.
Getting ready for school.
Today, we had to write a lot of stuff like "how has 9/11 changed you?" (it hasn't), "what emotions did it evoke?" (aside from lol's, none) and other shit.
ALSO, WE WERE FORCED TO DO A "FREEDOM" WALK, AND WE WEREN'T ALLOWED TO NOT DO THE WALK. WOW, AMERICA SURE IS A FREE NATION, RIGHT? I CAN'T EVEN TAKE A FREEDOM SEAT.

You're a fucking idiot.
Anyway, I was in school.
I was in school, fifth grade. All I really remember was that the teachers weren't supposed to tell us anything, but half of the entire school was being taken home by parents, and teachers ere crying -and to make matters worse- there was a rumor flying around that there was a bomb in New Haven about to explade and kill us all.
You should have heard the announcement today. "And now let us take a moment of silence because it's september the 11th" Literally two seconds passed before the next announcement came on.
You know, I'm not even patriotic and I didn't lose anyone but taht's just disrespectful.
I was in school, 5th grade. My friend had gone to the dentist earlier that morning, and when she got back, she said the Pentagon had been bombed. I had no idea what the Pentagon was at the time.
It's amazing how we can remember exactly what we were doing when it happened.
In school and Math Class. They announced something over the intercom to tell all teachers to turn it to channel ##.
But any ways, we didn't really do anything for 9/11 today, just had a moment of silence before the bell rang.
I was in gym when it happened. Then I when we went up to our classroom our teachers were like "two planes crashed, now we do math".
I wasn't sure on what happened until I went to my Aunt's house straight after school and watched the news.
Eating breakfast or something, heard the breaking report on the radio and subsequently TV.

Why should the families who lost a loved one have to see the replays of the towers again every year?
I saw the planes hit from queens. I stayed home that day.

I was in class, I think. They hauled us into a 1st grade classroom instead of our 2nd grade one and our parents came and picked us up. All I can remember is my mom crying and wouldn't tell me what happened.

Because you are saying it's funny that thousands of innocent people died in a tragedy that showed the vulnerability of a nation that holds millions more.
And don't give me the fucking bullshit 'OlOl bUt pEoPle dIe eVery Day' shit, because this was more than just death, it was disaster.

Shut the fuck up. Just because you only care about yourself doesn't mean everyone else does.
Some people actually care for their country, no matter how corrupt their government is.
You people seem to be releasing your anger of the U.S. government out on the U.S. people. They are 2 completely different things.

You're a lost cause.
I'm not going to argue with you anymore, because dumb teenagers who think they are smart like you aren't worth arguing with.

Vulnerability or unwillingness to stop the attack? Many people were warned far ahead of time, yet nothing was done. I'm sure that certain members of the President's cabinet had some role in the attacks.

like, would you laugh at a car accident? It's just something normal humans beings don't do.
Quote from: Mariomaniac21 on September 11, 2007, 04:24:48 PM
Umm yeah, why the hell would you care about those people? I mean, thousands of people die everyday with more pain and even sadder stories, why should Icare about people who worked in a building? And last time I checked, the people voted for the government thus, people= government.
I don't know, I guess for the same reason people care for U.S. soldiers? Because they are people who are dying unnecessarily?
And I doubt it if any U.S. civillian had much knowledge of the failure of the government to respond to the attack, right as the attack happened.

Nice attempt to win the argument, but sorry, not good enough.
It still doesn't give you the right to mock those affected.

You're right.
That may not give me the right to mock them, but the first amendment does. May as well use it while it still exists.

Sometimes I wonder if that doesn't help. It shows that people remember those who were lost and how they were lost. I sure they relive it every year anyways. I'm torn about which would be better. To see it or not see it every year.
"ps there were explosives in the towers."
Go die.
