all you missed is some dialogue and a gesture, since he still drops that badge if he dies

gestures are very important

how exactly do you approach him from behind old yharnam anyway lol, i didn't see any alternative routes

right past where he finally stops shooting at you, there's a giant ladder on the wall. that takes you straight up to him. it's like right across from that shortcut gate down to lower old yharnam and right past that first npc hunter.

however, you have to have at least fought paarl the darkbeast (not necessarily defeated him) before djura will be friendly. and then respond to his question with "spare the beasts" or whatever

anyway i'm in the dlc and i just killed the first boss, ludwig, after he killed me five times

it's a miracle that i beat him. wasted 19 blood vials in the first phase. wrecked him in his second with only being able to use one last blood vial. yay visceral attacks.

at least it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who died 5 times on him. (7 actually )

not really but you can get some nice things early I think.

kind of. i mean i did it about where you're at now. you could do some other stuff first, but you want to at least finish that area before you finish byrgenworth, because after that its lamp becomes unavailable and the whole area changes, and it becomes way harder to get to darkbeast paarl
