Haven't played much but I hear it is amazing
I think it is supposed to be a true sequel to 2017 (insect Armageddon sucked lol)

it is the true sequel.
IA wasnt even made by the original team, but i believe IA introduced the wing diver which is by far the best class (to me) in the game

randomly generated levels are GAAAAAAAAAY

agreed

i liked rogue legacy tho, but i can't really think of any other exception where it didn't annoy me

no man's sky ~interests~ me but this is one thing (and it's arguably its main "thing") that makes me worried about it
this is the kind of mechanic that could make it boring p. quickly

does it annoy you in the persona games? goowan

Thyme

not as annoying as boring i guess goowan
or at least they would be if it wasn't for the battles and (often) the music

otherwise, honestly, i think they'd gain from being pre-made
then at least maybe they could put some puzzles in there
if i don't have to slide blocks on an icey surface anywhere in the game i'm dropping this shit baddood;
my only experience with randomly generated content was with four swords

my problem with it is that while it's capable of creating a virtually infinite array of "unique" maps, that uniqueness is really only very superficial, at least as it appeared in four swords, and while it's fun the first few times around it quickly becomes quite easy to notice the frequent repetition that is the nature of procedurally generated content

locations might be "new" technically but feel stale because it's obvious that the same limited assets are being recycled

^^ the problem plaguing all games with randomly-generated stages
hell even some games with pre-made dungeons and caves like skyrim goowan
and no matter how many assets and variables they pack into no man's sky they'll only be delaying the inevitable

at some point, it'll run into the very same problem with its procedurally generated content feeling increasingly banal over time
