srsly

i mean jesus christ, at this point it's no wonder why capcom abruptly cut ties with fraudster inafune and shelved his """game"'" (which, much like mighty no. 9, probably never actually existed in any meaningful sense)

guy's a talentless hack who cashes in on selling dreams to the naive, japan's very own peter molyneux

scam of the century, just ahead of shenmue 3 and ouya
Wait, what about Ouya is a scam? I believe they delivered on everything they promised: a tiny cheap low-power developer-friendly console based on Android with its own app store and accompanying controller.

The problem is just, like every other device matching that same description, it can't play get close to matching the power of regular consoles let alone PCs
which means nobody's going to port non-indie current-gen console games to it
which means nobody's going to buy it
which means even games that could run on its hardware have less reason to
And it doesn't have anything else going for it, like Netflix or any other streaming service or anything like a shared account with smartphones (like Google and Apple have on their TV boxes).

Maybe I'm still bitter that Bouya never took off. :'([/spoiler]

wasn't the hole idea of kickstarter making quick cheap games?

also has any game of note not associated with the ouya actually been released from kickstarter

"If it was not for Nakamura-san waking me up in the morning by yelling that Mighty No. 9 is not cancelled, the game would have been delayed to 2016."
Well, that explains everything: somebody slipped up and forgot to remind him that the game wasn't cancelled sillydood;

that was probably the day that he put Red Ash on Kickstarter, so he'd actually have stuff to work on y/n

Though somehow ouya managed to get itself purchased by Razer

amazing isn't it?

Comcept decided to provide an excuse for the demo delay:
* They had "last-minute complications with distributing through Steam"
* They saw feedback saying people prefer to have a demo that is DRM-free and not time-limited
* It takes some time to "retool the demo" to remove DRM and prepare it for distribution through Humble Bundle

I'm not sure what kind of DRM takes more than a day for the original developers to remove, but whatever. They claim the demo was ready in time in all other ways but distribution method.
