How do I change the Pokemon in the heart icon on my PSS profile

The heart icon shows the Pokémon currently selected in Amie, so just switch to that and select something from your party.

Although it looks like that might be showing a favorite Pokémon, instead it just shows your current Amie Pokémon who will pop up in other people's Amie to send gifts and do whatever else.
