is there any real point in balancing checkbooks anymore

my mom always gets after me about how i haven't entered anything in my checkbook in like a whole year, because honestly i don't see any point in it

i could just go online, go to my bank, and look at a list of transactions to get exactly the same information

does anyone actually bother balancing checkbooks anymore

careful what you wish for. it just might come true. physical goods is the only 'true'  kind of 'currency'.

It's pointless nowadays. Just like you said, everything is online. I even have my bank as an iPod touch app.
