How the hell did people think she was a male? Am I the only one who played OOT?

I've always wondered the same thing, except it seems like I'm the only one who remembers those retards from NSider. badass

Shiek is a guy! Anyone who has played OoT more than once would know this. Princess Ruto even says, "A nice young man named Shiek saved me from under the ice," or something along the lines of that.
Yes, Zelda is a girl but the disguise known as Shiek is a guy.
She pretended to be a guy.

Also, Shiek's trophy in SSBM said that he's a girl, so I don't know why you've been waiting this long. But you're wrong anyway, so it doesn't matter.
Ruto was either playing along or didn't know Shriek was a girl. If you remember, when they introduced Shriek  in OOT they made you think she was a he.

Thats like saying Samus Aran is a male because thats what you thought she was when you first played Metroid.

shriek shriek eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Samus Aran

Some people are seriously fucking retarded, I swear. Zelda dressed up as a male Sheikah named 'Sheik" to avoid being captured by Ganondorf. The only reason Ruto said Sheik was a male was because Zelda intended to look like a male. That was the whole damn point of dressing up like an ancient Sheikah, which she almost surely learned from Impa.

I don't understand how anyone could be stupid enough to have thought she was a male in the first place.

I always thought there was an "R"

I barley pay attention to the stories of video games except for a few like SH2 and PW.

Albel The Wicked

I thought she was Zelda dressed in really tight clothing... Nsiders have the most stupid arguments. doodthing;

FULL_METAL_RYDER2

The only reason there was even debate was because in the manga calls her male.

Zelda intended people to mistake her for a male. So Sheik is a male.
It's just as if Sheik is a character and Zelda is an actor. A male character can be played by a woman, no?

ZELDA IS GIRL. ZELDA DIGUISES HERSELF TO PRETEND TO BE A MALE TO HIDE FROM badass GANONDORF THROUGH THE SEVEN YEARS YOU ARE IN THE TEMPLE OF SAGES. RUTO CALLS HER A MALE BECAUSE SHE DID LOOKED LIKE A MALE.

The identity of Sheik is a male, but Sheik doesn't actually exist. It's all just Zelda. Putting on clothes to make yourself look like the opposite gender doesn't make you grow a penis and actually change gender.

YES, that's what I've been trying to say.
