If using a guide, especally on a game as unforgiving as a souls game, helps me enjoy a game more than thats exactly what i am gonna do.
And if i wanna spend 20 to get said guide,  so be it

having first played and completed it in like 2004, i didn't really see the the appeal in the the original zelda either, but i guess that's to be expected considering its age

I think a lot of it is because most games nowadays lead you around explicitly where you have to go. And that's just what people are used to now.

i do still need to play the the original halo, but at this point, i might as well pick up a cheap 360 and play the the remake lol

yeah the base game is the same with just the option of turning on/off the new graphics, and the addition of terminals. And the multiplayer is completely changed

actually, to defend myself, i was only trying to say that I dont see it as ruining a game or cheating. I simply see it as a way for me to enjoy some games more. I dont recall blatantly calling him wrong

the environments aren't as interesting either, nor is the story as interesting (after all, this is the same rapture you've already uncovered the secrets of), and let's face it - it's just rapture again.

it's the same thing. You were stating your viewpoint on that matter and he was stating his. And both were unable to accept that the other might be right too. Granted dp might have been a little more aggressive or blunt, but both sides were equally unyielding in their ideas on the matter.
