I don't think it'll be that tough, but I need some... insight? from my favorite people
.......wow.
It's.....

*sigh*
Drama, Teenage lust to have sex, Jealousy, more drama, people who change to try and fit in. Etc. Then theres the thing called study so you can get dat high gpa
upper classmen will try to rape you even though theyre guys too and white kids will get all offensive if you look at them for longer than 2 seconds when you walk past them
beware
basically all your friends will sell crack and smoke tons of weed and all the girls get pregnant and people cuss a lot and freshman get beat up every day
You will experience teachers who are preparing you for life. And you will experience teachers who are looking forward to their next paycheck. You will meet educators who excite your sense of curiosity for knowledge and information. There will be people who's perspective and outlook on things will change the way you look at the world. Ultimately though, you will be the most important educator and evaluator. Lessons learned in classes are only as useful as how, and what, you apply them to.
All the superficial drama shit is nonsense. Keep a cool head and proper attitude and you will be constantly amazed and entertained by primitive stupidity. One more thing, it will all fly by faster than you think.
My experience was one concerning a very pathetic and insular environment where I continually felt constricted and separate, being that I was not even mildly interested in overwhelmingly superficial and unrealistic teen drama. This was magnified by the Catholic/private school environment; each grade was only about 200-250 people so there was little opportunity for escape although I made a few good friends.
As far as actual education goes it's complete bullshit, just a fucking long 4-year venue for resumé padding. Decide now what you want for college â,“â,“ if you want Ivy Leagues and whatshit, go for the 4.0 and debate team captain and all the meaningless glory you can find; if you're fine with a state college then just do enough to keep a relatively high average and try to have a good time. Or, do what I did and participate in almost no school activities, show up for the minimum amount of classes, get a 3.9 including a few AP classes to make it look like you tried (but you didn't really), enjoy yourself however you like the rest of the time (drugs, whatever), and still get accepted wherever you apply.
What it comes down to though is the number of days left until you can move out, you've got around 1500 thumbup;
boring

My high school had about 300 students. It wasn't bad, everyone knew each other and news spread like wildfire. doodhuh;
It's everything like the movies. Lots of singing and dancing, the schools are perfect and clean, and every girl is beautiful.

Usually a population over 2,000 with a diverse group of ethnicity. Popularity is determined by class and many kids are immature assholes that only care about sex, money and girls.

God when I was watching High School Musical 3 I was getting pretty frustrated at how they portrayed High School.
Yay we're all friends even though we're different and we all have fun together and we don't need drinking or sex or any of that naughty stuff! ^____^

I'm more pissed off at how Hollywood portrays high schools as small societies composed of very rigid social classes and cliques defined by one's personal interests with almost no social mobility and how it asserts the notion that teens are subject to so much pressure where one's own hobbies and even choice of career are determined by peers. I find that most high schools, especially those in larger cities are much more free and dog-eat-dog—and although the fact that teens aren't very free-thinking or independent is true to a certain extent, it surely isn't as extreme as it is characterized in the movies.

when I was younger I usually went on the Internet just to play flash games. Generaly in the Nick area at the ages of 7-10. My cousins introduced me into eBaumsworld when I was around 10. Those screams always got me. saddood;
I mean I had the awkward experience of being at a highly competitive 6-year boy's school of 50 students per class, a situation which created significant conflict with my priorities and psychological health, and also created multiple crises due to lots of stress, pride and self-worth, pressure to succeed, asshole peers, parental expectation / connection, and of course gender identity.
The outcome of it made me an academically and socially strong and quiet person with too many issues to count. But it's been getting better! I went for a whole year without a panic attack!
It's something that you only realize was actually really great until it's over.
You will have lots of fun. But also lots of bullshit exams, projects, homework and shit.

what? College sounds 100x better than highschool. I can't wait for college.
If your teachers are anything like mine were, you won't be able to turn it in even a day late. It's due then and there.

In my experiences, middle school was home to drama, pretentions, tears, and cliques. I was a bit pretentious, but fortunately I usually avoided the bullshit from middle school. By the time high school came around, everyone grew up. I've never had any conflicts with someone in high school and people get the idea that if you don't like it, leave it alone. Socially, a big improvement.
I like it academically, too. In middle school, they held my hand and gave me no choice to fail. Here, if I want a zero on my homework, I'll get that zero. There's more choices for classes, and the classes get more interesting.
It could vary, though. I've somehow ended up at a school that, despite being pretty diverse whilst also having a lot of rich white kids, has never had a lot of teenage drama. There's some schools that are the exact opposite.
By the way I was serious in what I posted earlier, but don't worry, I doubt your HS is as crappy as mine akudood;
