Leave it to Geno to be a fucking retard and put Christianity as an option amongst Catholicism, and forget Agnosticism, Buddhist and Hinduism. I had to add those three.

Isn't that a heritage and not a religion?
christ you people are retarded
Kwanzaa is a cultural thing invented by a random guy in like the 60s (or maybe even later) to celebrate black history/culture, it has nothing to do with any religion
Atheism isn't a religion.

Seriously.
This topic should be closed for improperly executing a poll.
I am a druid
eastern orthodox akudood;
I edited it to be less retarded. Changed the names of religions to be consistent, removed Catholic and black (wtf), and added Sikhism and "Tribal" although I doubt anyone here has an indigenous religion...
Also mine should really be "mystic" since if I actually had to talk about "spirituality" it'd just be random shit that doesn't fit into anything at all
uh, agnostic??????
Where's the theistic agnostic? Basically, I'm an agnostic who believes in the Christian God.

there's not too many other cultures where agnosticism is considered, because in most parts of the world religion is fused with culture (e.g. islamic law dictates culture, whereas christianity is just a part of it here)
point being agnosticism is generally associated with the western idea of "god"
genoisdumbism
I'm not really religious but I like the ideas of some religions (mostlyHinduism)

Correct, which is why I didn't vote. There should just be a 'none' option.

explain
explain how I am not religious but am interested in the ideas (& doctrines) of some religions? There isn't much to say about it to be honest. I read the Bhagavad Gita and then some stuff on Ghandi and was just really impressed with the way these people live their lives. It's really beautiful and minimalistic and they don't mean to hurt anybody/anything. And I also read Be Here Now by Ram Dass and of course there is a lot about Hinduism in that and the guide to spirituality. It's just all really beautiful and I like it a lot, but I don't follow all of it. And I couldn't call myself Hindu.

Yeah :/ I guess you can find violence anywhere, but in general they are a very nonviolent people.

There are things I could find if I were to think on it. But why bother thinking on it? there is beauty, I can see it.
Pacifism is moral cowardice. It's just a self-absorbed way for one to feel good about oneself while others are forced to shoulder the burden.
What? I never considered Atheism or Agnosticism a religion.

what's the difference between cowardice and moral cowardice oh worker of words
I think someone has every right to prefer pacifism, and your assertion that pacifism entails anti-communalism is mostly vacant of sense since the two things have little to do with one another

yeah it's beautiful except for oh the caste oppression and retarded reverence of random animals, worshipping elephant shrines (among other things), and reincarnation doctrine

Of course the caste system is terrible but that's like saying Christianity is bad because of slavery... The Indian people have their problems - everybody does - but Hinduism (in it's pure form) is really amazing. I don't see how the reverence of "random" animals is retarded. Or why it matters if it is. I am not a devout follower of Hinduism and I don't agree with everything that they do or everything that is apart of the religion (reason why I would not consider myself "Hindu") but there many aspects of the religion I can appreciate.

No, it's not like saying Christianity is bad because of slavery. If there was no caste system, Hinduism would not exist, because the point of reincarnation -- which is arguably the theme that the faith hinges on -- is to ascend the ladder of castes. It's more like saying Christianity is bad because of the Bible... which is also true.
I'm glad you're not a devout Hindu, I'm just amazed someone could call themselves atheist/nontheistic but find Hinduism, of all religions, acceptable.
I voted for Christianity, but I reiterate that I'm also agnostic. I also am a very terrible Christian.

I guess that's true. I actually hadn't thought about it that way at all.
Be amazed? Read the scripture, it's really special and beautiful. The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most incredible things I have ever read. And that's all that I've really said. There are some things about it I really love but I understand what you're saying.
