I dunno, I heard Killer 7 was actually pretty mediocre. Not a bad game, but not all that great either.

You forgot Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. Just as good, if not better, than Rogue Leader.

link does not walk on winds

What kind of game is Geist?

I still have to try to get the Pikmin Games.  :(

Geist is pretty cool except unpolished making it difficult to play. Pikmin is way better.

Try that game out.

anyone with a GC that hasn't played Melee should be slapped.

Why didn't you put in Soul Calibur II and Tales of Symphonia?  :(

Soul Calibur II is good but... it's a button masher. Never played the other.

Erased those I've played.

Quote from: reefer on February 12, 2008, 09:44:37 PM
Cubivore
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Geist
Ikaruga (Indeed. I need a 360...)
Killer 7 (Holy shit, yes. I've told myself I'd play this game many times in the past, too. But it's not like I really can anymore, unless I pick up the PS2 version, which I've heard isn't worth it.)
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

And adding some I've always wanted to try, but couldn't for some reason (not having a console to play them has been that reason recently). Beginning with the obvious of obviouses...

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (OH NOES YOURE GONNA BE DISAPPOINTED WHINE WHINE. I don't care, at least I need to try it once.)
Fire Emblem: PoR
Harvest Moon: AWW
Star Fox: Assault (Same as TP, although I do have some reluctancy, somewhat. I like that series, including Adventures...)
Edit: Also, Chibi Robo

...Huh. I thought there'd be more. befuddlement

lol you don't need a 360

You just need to get a $40 game and  a decent computer, and you've got everything and more than the 360 is capable of.

AWW is actually pretty good, though a bit of a disappointment compared to the gem that is Harvest Moon 64. You can't really continue on forever the way you can in 64, apparently.

Yes, I very muchly do need one of those. I've never been big on PC games... but that's probably just because this is my first computer and it's always been contextually shitty. gonk;

Have a particular 40$ game in mind?

Cubivore Never got to finding it. Even though I was about to at one point but got Animal Crossing instead.
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Didn't even bother since I was disapointed enough with Donkey Konga 1 & 2
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem Never got around to it
F-Zero GX Friend has F-Zero AF in his house so fuck it
Geist Rented it. It was average.
Ikaruga Never heard of it
Killer 7 Total badassery
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! I had like 60 hours of gameplay time on that
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes Already beat it on the Playstation
Metroid Prime Badass. Beat it.
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Also Badass. Also Beat it.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Epic
Pikmin Hated the 30 day thing but it was fun
Pikmin 2 Nothing but fun since there was no 30 day limit
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader I think I got that game before Smash Bros. Pretty awesome.
Skies of Arcaida: Legends wut
Super Mario Sunshine Who HASN'T played that? It wasn't as good as other 3D mario platformers but it was good.
Super Smash Bros. Melee I have over 500 hours of gameplay time on this   baddood;
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures Game was awesome besides the fact that you are REQUIRED to use the GBA as a controller
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Owned

Killer 7 is all right if you focus on it's style and story over the actual gameplay which isn't really that bad anyway.

It was fun alright, and the graphics were gorgeous, but it was too damn short, and the recycled bosses sucked. Beat it in one sitting in about 5 hours at a friend's house, and I never want to touch it again.
Big compliant was the bosses, they were fun but I wish there was more variety.

I like when games like Jungle Beat, Portal, and those other truly innovative games are short because it's hard to get bored of them. They end before you get bored. Never bear Jungle Beat because it's always too late when I want to play it and my dad decides to sleep in the guest bed right next to me.

What's so bad about RE4? Sure, it's very different from the others, but it's by no means a bad game.

RE1 was so much more ground breaking.

Just turned the series from horror to shoot em' up. I like the game but wish it only had over the shoulder in the more open rooms and original tank/camera controls like from RE0-3 games in the indoor places.

Kinda killed off the original series.

At least we still have SH  gonk;
SH1, 2, and 3 were great. SH4 is terrible and SH0 is pretty boring and didn't do much that SH1-3 hasn't already done.
Oh I dunno, I can still enjoy the over-the-shoulder thing for the most part. The only thing that really disappoints me about RE4 is that it doesn't really implement horror like the other 3 did. Why aren't things jumping out and trying to make me have a heart attack? Still a great game overall, though. Just not really survival horror.

I've found RE4 a little more scary than the original RE.

In RE it's just like you walk into a room, and suddenly the shitty camera allows you to see a few box shapped zombies and then some faster music plays.

In RE4, you might walk towards what you think is a dead guy strapped to the wall, and then the bitch comes alive, extends his wolverine things, and starts going ape shit at you. Running at you, then stopping swinging his arms around so that it looks like it is having a seizure (no offense MIB).

Not to mention the Regenerators/Iron Maidens. >.<

Bioshock is loaded with stuff like that, except it'll actually scare the shit out of you because it sometimes seems so real.

You could run around medium low settings if you upgraded to a decent processor.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2+50001157+40000343+4027&name=%2475+-+%24100

any of those should do well as well as maybe one or two in the price range just right below it

Yeah, I have to admit I was pretty much like "OH GOD HOLY SHIT" the first time I encountered a Garrador (blinded prisoner you were talking about). I just seem to remember the giant alligator in RE2 making me jump a little more than anything in RE4. Maybe that's just because I was only like 12 when I played RE2, but whatever.

Also, yeah, Regenerators/Iron Maidens are pretty creepy. It's kind of cool how you can manipulate a glitch for that prison right before the end of the game that lets you get up to a Regenerator without it attacking. You can see its crazy eyes up close.

I always sell the Punisher right after getting it. I keep a plain handgun until the Red9 becomes available. I do the same thing for the Shotgun until the Striker becomes available. Saves pasetas and really doesn't make much of a difference on gameplay.

i do wat kaz does. red9 is superior

Also, after I beat game i sell enough stuff to get fully upgraded handcannon with a single other magnum. i then get a lot more magnum ammo from enimies cuz they drop more of what you have in inventory. so then i sell magnum for moar profit and then get all guns i want, which is IRL, Typewriter, Red9 (its too awesome to let go), and semi-auto rifle

I have Skies of Arcadia, got it for $5, and I tought it was a great ga,me for the couplehours I played it.

Then I lost it. :(

Wish I had continued though, I did think it was really fun, and I had started it right after watching Castle in the Sky, which is SO SIMILAR in a weird way.

And I contemplated cosplaying Aika at the time.

I think most people have heard about ToS, expecially any RpG seekers, since it was one of the very few RPGs on the GCN.

Then again... I'd also say that most people knew about games like Pikmin and Paper Mario, but hey.
