well it's less a conclusion and more like a nagging feeling that keeps me up at night, you know? like, i was just vibing with some discord buddies the other night, we were talking about old anime forum bullshit and people we used to know, shows we used to really be into, etc. and it was a lot of fun but i feel like i think about stuff like that WAY too often and it ends up being a defense mechanism, just pure escapism

i think there is a healthy amount of nostalgia, but yeah i know what you mean with certain relationships. when i've found myself in situations where i am overly nostalgic about friends, hobbies, etc, then i think the larger issue to address is why you aren't as happy in the present.
