It would still be completely segregated as a child board, but I get the concern about seeing them combined in latest posts / new post icons... ideas for renaming of the anime board (see above)?

I'm fine with "Anime, Manga and Japanese Shit", but of course I'm not part of the demographic at all so I'm not sure I even have a say.

Keeping anime discussion as a child board would not overtake the parent board.
It would eliminate "anime discussion" altogether if it were merged.

I was talking about part of the reason it got its own board to begin with (I think it was that anyway) and that it would probably happen again if the board was eliminated altogether.

Well, no one wants to get rid of it entirely, just move it to a child board so it takes up less space on the board index.

occult/fringe board will be considered and put to vote if we really want it, I think it could be cool but not sure if it would be used enough.

Makes sense, I would want to move a few threads into IRL Land though (recent dream thread, etc).

Eh, I can't help the way Boyah thinks. But it does sound like that would happen in both cases though. And in the case of Anime it has happened before. I'm not sure if Boyah has ever tried to go without a dedicated Serious Discussion board before, but some threads do get posted in the Lobby from time to time that could easily pass as serious discussion even when we have the board. So that could be evidence to the contrary.
