Eh, I can't help the way Boyah thinks. But it does sound like that would happen in both cases though. And in the case of Anime it has happened before. I'm not sure if Boyah has ever tried to go without a dedicated Serious Discussion board before, but some threads do get posted in the Lobby from time to time that could easily pass as serious discussion even when we have the board. So that could be evidence to the contrary.

The plan has never been to remove Anime, I just suggested merging it to see what people think (nobody wanted to). It's definitely staying, only question is whether it should be a child or standalone board.

I still don't know whether we have or need a creative mind intuition writing board. I mean when you just want to reach out and grab the world, where should we go, the lobby? Might as well go to Cuba to preach.

I thought of this as well, but the intent of the Philosophy & Scholarly Debate board will be to accommodate posts like that -- rambling 'philosophical' pieces and creative writing in addition to traditional 'arguments'. Occult/esoteric board could also work, depending on the content.

my opinion on all of this is that we should just leave everything as it is; new boards aren't going to cause a surge in activity like that or some shit, only new MEMBERS will

That's part of the long-term plan. If we have broader and more clearly delineated boards (Tech Board into Internet, Science, Technology etc) then the forum will have more appeal to random visitors... which I intend to get us at some point after the launch of Boyah 2.
