There are so many phone calls that I would not answer if I had caller ID. I would like to have it.

I mean its not big enough for people and its like entirely vertical, so its not much different from having a hole in your floor that goes right to the basement except its cramped.

Oh yeah, my house doesn't have a garage either. The people who lived here before my family moved in apparently converted it to an additional personal room, albeit rather large and not cooled very well by AC. We tend to use that room to store junk and keep some pets in. Cars are just left outside on the driveway.

Basements don't really exist in Florida as far as I know. Being close to water level and stuff.

If the house is too hot, then the only thing to do is go somewhere else
I've never been to a LAN party but I assume they're in regular rooms
Laundry rooms tend to be next to garages. Mine is in an open area just past the kitchen. Water heater is in the same area and I don't think we have a dedicated furnace.
Though many people have an extra room they use for work, my house is relatively small and we just use personal rooms or the living/dining rooms for work sort of stuff.

You really use basements for all that?
