The coal boiler has been gone for at least 50 or 60 years. We use natural gas now, just like pretty much everyone else.

oh, we don't have a laudry chute or dishwasher,
but we do have a freezer room, it's in our kitchen and has a giant, rustic looking door leading into a room that looks like a prisoner's cell.  cjlubdoods;

I didn't think people actually had laundry chutes. I thought they just put those in the houses in the movies. What's up with that?

Anyway ever since I moved I don't have a dishwasher, washer, or dryer. We also only have one television and it's a CRT. We do have a smaller one but nobody uses it ever. My back yard is tiny and I don't have a front yard. I guess technically this house doesn't have a basement or an attic, but it's three floors and the bottom one is halfway below ground. There's also a ladder to the roof.

Also, at my old house my basement was pretty much unusable anyway. It was all old and dark and creepy and I couldn't stand being down there. The two houses I lived in before that (when I was little) were both split level, and the one before that (when I was an infant) had a basement, but I was an infant so I guess it doesn't count.

That said, this house has a stoop. So that's pretty cool. There's also a room towards the back that, while fully enclosed, is pretty much separate from the rest of the house that's nice to sit in when it's warm out.

Well, at my old house we had huge yards, so at least I had them growing up.
