i never thought how id have to get all my clothes to the washers and driers, so that was pretty much a rude awakening

My apartment's pretty bare bones. I didn't grow up with a dishwasher, so when I found out my place had one, I was all stoked. Doesn't work though.

I dont have cable or anything either, so the tv rarely goes on unless I'm watching local news or if I need some background noise.

Speaking of laundry chutes, my best childhood friend had one and we'd throw toys and shit down there all the time. The entrances were also wide enough for us to fit inside, so we'd slide down the motherfucker and get out on the floor below or something.

Not only do we have a laundry chute, we have a fucking COAL CHUTE and a frickin' COAL ROOM. Yeah, suck it.

Other intersting things: Two staircases (for five sets of stairs in total), a steam boiler, asbestos, real plaster, ye olde radiators that need to be bled every time thr boiler turns on and off), 3 fireplaces, lines for gas lamps (the lamps are all gone though).

Things we don't have:
Air conditioning
Water softener ( I had never even heard of one before I went to a school in the suburbs, and no one there had ever heard of not having one)
Garbage disposal
