I'm leaving for college tomorrow and I have enough I haven't yet listened to to get me there, but I'd like to have my options open since I have different music for different moods. Here are the albums I have in my library that I have not yet listened to that I'm expecting to enjoy:

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
Company of Thieves - Ordinary Riches
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor
Foo Fighters - One By One
Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better
Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives - Second and Eighteen
Incubus - Monuments and Melodies
Kings of Leon - Only By the Night
The Kooks - Konk
Mute Math - Mutemath
Phoenix - It's Never Been Like That
The Postal Service - Give Up
The Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
That Handsome Devil - A City Dressed in Dynamite
That Handsome Devil - That Handsome Devil

It's really not that far of a trip and I guess it's just an excuse to get more music into my library but start suggesting anyway.

the shortest route to the sea

Return to the Sea - Islands
The Soft Bulletin - Flaming Lips
Falling Through a Field - Black Moth Super Rainbow
Travels With Myself and Another - Future of the Left
Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished - Animal Collective
Surrender - Chemical Brothers
Dig Your Own Hole - Chemical Brothers
Trout Mask Replica - Captain Beefheart
All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone - Explosions in the Sky
Acoustic EP - Against Me!
Wolves in Wolves' Clothing - NoFX
A History of Rats - This Is My Fist!

Most of that is high enough energy to keep you through driving at least.

I'm not much into Against Me! and Napster didn't have Trout Mask Replic, All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone or A History of Rats, but the rest are all downloading now.

A lot of people aren't. I can understand that. But the Acoustic EP is different. If you're feeling adventurous and haven't heard it, please try it?

Okay fine. And while I'm thinking of it I'm also getting Manners by Passion Pit because I heard The Reeling on the radio and I like it so why not.

Skylark

If you don't have them you should also get Strawberry Jam & Feels by Animal Collective
The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn by CocoRosie

The artist formally known

The Door's Rider on the Storm is such a good road song. Oh my god.

Mando Pandango

I've gotten so many more albums between now and then. Like, a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare
Gomez - Bring It On
The Hold Steady - Stay Positive
Interpol - Antics
Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Like Bad News (don't yell at me for not already having this it was an oversight on my part)
Mute Math - Armistice
Spoon - Gimme Fiction
Spoon - Kill the Moonlight
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

so yeah those albums you suggested, plus all those that i got on my own, PLUS the ones you JUST suggested, means a LOT of new music in my library that will take a VERY LONG TIME TO LISTEN TO.

Hiro

Empire of the Sun's debut album, Walking on a Dream. It's fucking awesome. Like an australian MGMT but less psychedelic and more techno/pop

Hiro

No, just Gomez, they're a decent but not amazing band

Zach

uh

"Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" - Pavement
"A Ghost is Born" - Wilco
"With Love and Squalor" - We Are Scientists

WHAT THE FUCK? No one mentioned the Grateful Dead? American Beauty and Workingman's Dead are fantastic albums for road trips.
