I can't stand awkward silences. Actually, I fear them so much, I go over more topics we can talk about as I converse with someone. ;-;

If, regardless of the person, you are uncomfortable talking on the phone, it doesn't really mean you're incompatible.  baddood;

It was late, and at that point neither of us could think of anything to talk about. She made a comment about how the awkward silence was killing her, and I laughed. Then we started talking again. About 30 minutes later we had another brief moment of awkward silence as we were realizing it was beginning to get late, and I decided to say goodnight and wished her a safe trip home. I mentioned that we would keep in contact by phone and through facebook. We kept facebooking each other for a few days until she went on her skiing trip on saturday... Now we've said barely anything to each other and I'm getting worried she doesn't want to have anything to do with me. I'm probably being paranoid, but it still hurts.

I could think of a million things to talk about with her right now, but at that moment I couldn't.

Ok. I've already slowed down by a lot. I think I sent her one message today, and that was 30 minutes ago. So I'm slowing down.

It's just that this is the closest I've ever been to a girl before. I just don't want to screw this up. And now that I think of it, even if it turns out she doesn't want to have a relationship, she'll probably still be one of my best female friends ever. So there's that.

I'm not asking her out until we get back, by the way. And even then, it's not going to be immediately. Maybe a day or two later.

 This is funny in a way. Hyper asked me once what we we ran out of things to talk about. I said it was no big deal cause we could sit and stare at each other and I'd be happy.  That happened. It doesn't have to be uncomfortable. No one can talk non stop... well maybe someone can.

I would wait until January. Just continue conversing with her through facebook and if you still feel the same after you get back from break. ask her out then. This will really be much easier and you shouldn't really do it over the phone, just my opinion.

Also, don't tell her you think you're in love with her. Chances are all you have is a crush on her and if for some stupid reason you're like "I think I'm in love iwth you date me?" (I saw some guy do it once, really), it'll freak her the fuck out.

Yeah I know that. I think I'm just going to bring some movies back to college and watch them with her. It turns out one of her favorite movies is Twister, which I am bringing back. We can watch it when we get back.  :3
