In all seriousness, while we were talking about random stuff together until 2am on Wednesday night, the topic of shyness came up. I reluctantly told her that I had never kissed a girl before, and then she told me that she didn't get her first kiss until she came to college. (We are so fucking alike it's not even funny. She has the same interests and personality as me and everything.) Then after that there was an awkward silence that lasted a few minutes since neither of us could think of anything to say. She though of something and the conversation started up again.

That awkward silence scared the shit out of me, though.

If there are uncomfortable silences then that usually means that people aren't compatible.

Judging by the length of the silence, it was an internet conversation. Moments of silence are not uncommon between any two people when instant messaging because people also do other things.

uhhhhh, face-to-face awkward silence is definitely not a good sign. you should pretty much be talking constantly if you're in the same room, unless you're watching tv or something.

Well, I was going to disagree with RTD about the awkard silence thing because I thought it was on the phone, and I'm like that with everyone on the phone(I really dislike talking on the phone unless it's something really really important).

But in person?  What were you talking about that it just stopped?
