Nobody is exactly sure where EA and Ubisoft pulled this arbitrary generation number from~

it's wrong anyway, i have no idea how anyone could say this is the fourth generation. if anything, 16-bit consoles were the fourth.

ea and ubisoft (and seemingly more companies by the day) go by generations of 3d games, which coincidentally aligns perfectly with generations of playstation consoles
