Starters: Rowlet (Grass/Flying owl), Litten (Fire-type cat thing), Popplio (Water-type seel)
The new cover legendaries are also shown but not named. Sun is Lion-like, Moon is Bat-like, both heavily Space-themed.
The game takes place in the new Alola region, which seems pretty tropical
We get to see the new default protagonist designs
Each protagonist has 4 skin color options (up from X/Y's 3), so outfit customization is also probably likely
The overworld now has more realistic non-chibi proportions
Battle system looks pretty much the same as X/Y unsurprisingly

Release date: November 18 (Japan and US), November 23 (Europe)

Dewgong is Water/Ice. Unless they choose Ice again, it won't be the same as Seel.
