I'm guessing that the Wii U version will have another new mode that's different from Smash Run.

Maybe one reason 3DS has an exclusive mode is that the way it's designed makes more sense for everybody to have their own screen, while so far Smash Bros on consoles have stuck to making everything visible on one unsplit screen

If I were to guess about upcoming announcements, I'd say Wario's reveal might coincide with Mario Kart 8 and Meta Knight's might come with the US release of Triple Deluxe.

although he suffered in brawl from having no way to cancel aerial lag on his hella laggy attacks
it'd be cool if they changed that
