8gb of ram is pretty cheap, phones these days have 2gb and this system has to last for 6-8 years

So after letting is sink in for a little bit, I think the controller looks alright, the games do look pretty decent and not too bad for launch titles really. I'm sure it'll turn out to be a decent system, although it might take a couple years so pick up steam, like the PS3. I think this will start out cheaper though, and it will probably gain support a bit earlier than the PS3 did.
I'll get one, but probably only when the price drops, so like in 2015 I'm guessing

Yeah.  I thought even the iPhone 4 had Bluetooth 4.0??  And don't the more expensive PS3 headsets use newer versions of Bluetooth explaining the need for the USB dongle?


I mean, Sony bumped it up to USB 3.0 so why not the BT?

well that's a stupid comparison
we're talking ram for the whole system, not just for a graphics card
also that price is for the entire card, not just the memory
and I may be wrong but I think they would get a bigger discount than 50%

so from what I can find the graphics hardware is about on par with something you could get for a pc in 2008
obviously it'll be optimized a lot more though

It really doesn't seem that unreasonable to me, I'm guessing they'll sell it for either $400 or maybe $500 at most
