i dunno, i don't really consider them similar enough to take one over the other, personally. i do like RATM's debut album a lot, though. or at least like 3/4 of it.

they r simil;ar I think because they both have the same funk/punk/hip hop influences, were popular in the early 90s, and from the same "scene" in Los Angeles /.. except to me RHCP is like the Cities 97 "acoustic sunset" drivin home from work in your SUV version
