okay well since nobody has an ideas and everyone apparently avoids this thread (madood; ), i suggest Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou as our secondary. it's 12 episodes and it's a comedy with some SOL elements that is, according to the title, about the "daily lives of high school boys."

it's currently airing and has been awfully popular, its humor is apparently pretty crazy, people keep comparing it to Gintama, and to a smaller degree, to the similarly-named Nichijou (though I doubt it's nearly as over-the-top)

i'm interested in it because it's got to be the first time (that i can remember) there's been a silly school comedy with male characters

or at least the first one that's been this popular

nyerp's enjoyed weirder comedies (Nichijou) so i would take his haven't-seen-it opinion with a grain of salt n_u

my only initial judgment about this show is that the character designs are pretty boring, but i guess they're just supposed to be normal-ish high school boys so whatever

i'm fine with just going with this show, then.
