If you use a Mac post whatever the equivalent is. All the gadgets I saw suck.

Thyme

I just decided to use Weather lol maps;

It's the only one that looks remotely useful to me.

Personally don't care, I like how all of them are completely useless. A search field for google would be mega rad but no one does it right. Sleek with the drop down search field like in Firefox would be the way I would do it.

Widgets were on OS X and Yahoo's Widget Engine for years before Vista introduced "gadgets" and Reaper only knows the name gadgets

That's useful and "web clip" on Dashboard does exactly that google thing if you set it up to do so. Easy Envelope has helped me a few times print an envelope with the needed stuff, etc.

There are thousands of Widgets on OS X and I'm sure there are hundreds, probably a few thousands too, for Vista. They aren't all useless. akudood;

I knew the term widgets and I was trying to be cute, and personally it's just a sound your mouth makes so don't really care about the name. I guess that is semi-useful but it really just uses resources.

No, I was looking for something that might like show alerts for all the social networking websites or a clean google search tool, or whatever. Not looking for stuff that I wouldn't actually need. Sure if you get a new computer that stuff is useful but yeah, not for me.
