I wonder if it'll actually do well.    Also, I wonder if SCEA will do the free GT download if you register your PSPgo in the first ten days of its release, or if that's just SCEE apologising for the horrendous €250 price tag.

Thank god I got my fatty. Not only can I install other OSes but it also won't overheat which the slim undoubtedly will do. Also, it just looks nicer.

Some silly thoughts about the dimensions:

According to the specs posted by Joystiq today, it's a perfect square. I don't know, that kind of weirds me out.

Also according to these same specs, it's 6.5 centimeters tall. That's... actually a bit thicker than I would have imagined.

The square shape is a bit odd, but who cares?
Also, I think the height looks pretty good, it's a clear improvement.
Plus it's only $300 and it's 120GB, so it's hard to complain.

It's also half an inch wider, front to back, than the original.

the only things that really bother me about it are the matte finish, the odd curve that separates the disc drive area from the rest of the console, and the placement of the buttons
but i'd still pick it over the original if it were backwards compatible with the ps2
