I think that tis song fits the mood perfectly, it's suspenseful and gets you in the mood to reveal the many deep, dark secrets that the witness holds. VDood;

I'm not too fond of beat'em ups, mostly because you're mashing buttons and hoping the AI is stupid this time around, but Streets of Rage 2 has a lot of great music:

Also, the NES Megaman series has the greatest music of any game series ever, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Sonic 3 has the best music of the series and some of the best I've heard in a platformer, but that's because it was composed by Michael Jackson's crew.

Zelda II was simply one of the best games on the NES, with some of the NES's greatest music to go with it.

Yeah, Zelda II's music is wonderful and the game overall is great.


Galactic Attack is a great game and the music is just decent, but the first couple of tunes are awesome.

i'd definitely say shmups have the best music of any genre. gameplay is basic, so instead of wasting money on designing generic space marines with gaping sweat pores and generally half ass voice actors, it goes straight to wonderful voice actors and music composers
