just watched both breakfast club and ex machina

breakfast club was basically what i expected it to be but i still liked it

[spoiler]for the first 2/3rds of the movie it was exactly as i anticipated and i figured that the main character would fall in love with the robot and run away together and have complicated feelings

was pretty impressed with the direction it took. there were still some holes, like why the fuck would the genius dude rely on key cards that were easily compromisable for security? and why wouldn't he give the AI a built in "safe word" to prevent what happened? regardless i liked it and i especially liked the scene where the main character is cutting himself because he thinks he might be an AI.
