what did u think

i was sure i had a good grasp of what the book was until those last thirty pages or so.  it's really bizarre, i've been trying to figure out exactly what it means
was he really friday

Samus Aran

i finished Beloved by Toni Morrison the other day

it was good. idk. Morrison's style is a bit annoying in that she'll be way too wordy about details that are already vague in the first place. book gets a lot better in the latter half.

i think i'm a bit tired of classics for a while

Samus Aran

finished Norwegian Wood

it was a very nice book, but i much prefer the other two Murakami novels i've read, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore. simply because they're a much different kind of storytelling. supernatural and disjointed yet completely adjoined.

but this one was really nice for a simple story that was just really well-written. i never really get tired of the types of characters that Murakami writes.

Madame Bovary.  Such an awful story, because who hasn't had a crush that they can't approach and wish they could?  The awful part is that she does, but it's always disappointing and empty.
