Earthbound- 12 years ago: 10/10. Today: 11/10. Flawless.

Road Rash- 13 or so years ago: 9/10. Today: 7/10. I really don't get what I saw in this game, but at least it's a bearable game made by EA. The music  is like someone sawing my brain in half, but it's oddly appealing.

Ecco the Dolphin- 13 years ago: Not sure, because it was impossible for me but I liked to watch my uncle play. Today, I'm still not sure. I like it, but I have trouble getting into it.  I still consider it scary. :'(

Sonic the Hedgehog- 14 years ago: 9/10. Today: 5/10. Honestly, the first one is bad.  Really really bad. Sonic 2 was about a 9 and remains such, with 3 maintaining a perfect ten.

Toejam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron- 13 years ago: 10/10; they were my childhood heroes. Today: 9/10. Still a great platformer, but there have been a few better over the years.

Super Mario World- 12 years ago: 15/10. Today: 10/10. The overworld map and all those levels and amazing bosses and environments completely blew my mind when I got a Super Nintendo. Sonic is great and all, yeah, but this had about a hundred levels and I could fly and ride a Yoshi and a bunch of other slop. Today I place Sonic 3 and Knuckles a bit above Super Mario World, but this was without a doubt the greatest game from my childhood.

Killer Instinct- 12 years ago: 8/10. Today: 7/10. I've never really liked fighters, and this was packed in with my Super Nintendo. Yes; my first Super Nintendo game was rated M, and I wasn't even a third of the suggested age.

okay go

Super Mario Sunshine - 6 years ago: 10/10. Today: 5/10. I don't care for the levels anymore.

Super Mario World - 5 years ago: 10/10. Today: 7/10. Maybe Mario games just don't have much replay value for me, but this game isn't as fun as it was when I first got it. Still, it's not bad.

Civilization II: 10/10 My dad got me into it, and I loved conquering the world, whether through diplomacy or military might. Today: 9.5/10 After getting Civilization IV, II seems limited in comparison, but I still love all the old sound effects and 2D graphics and still plays well despite its age. Love it

Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time: 10 years ago (11/10 Masterful) Now (9.8/10 Incredible) Still to this day remains my favorite game of all time even with the huge nostalgia glasses on. Funny story is that around the time when it first came out my step mother was buying a N64 and getting one game with it and she just so happened to pick Ocarina of Time. I tried and convince her to get a Smash bros. instead (since for some reason I didn't like Ocarina of Time because it looked too realistic or something like that) but she insisted that I would like it. As we had back home we started playing it and something just pulled me into the game. It was so fun and I just loved the whole play style to it. Later on I got tired of going over to my step mothers house over and over again just to play it so I bought the game myself and played it non-stop. My first Zelda game and brought me into the series plus it's still and rather enjoyable game to this very day but I don't seem to care for the sidequest as much as I did when I was young and I really don't play it again anymore.

Megaman 64: 8 years ago (9.5/10 Great) Now (8/10 Decent) Probably my second favorite and most played N64 game next to Ocarina of Time, but unlike Ocarina this game didn't really age as well as I hoped. Still a rather fun game but the controls and camera mixed horribly. For a game I rented so many times I find it hard to believe I never noticed so many flaws in this game along with how in the hell I even beat it. Still my favorite Megaman game.

Donkey Kong Country 2 Diddy's conquest: 13 years ago (8.9/ Great) Now (8.5/10 Good) As I child in my SNES days I remember the DCK series being one of my favorites in the SNES library. 2 was probably my most favorite out of the 3 but now it seems more frustrating to the point where I don't really have a urge to replay as much as I did when I was young.

Super Mario Bros: 13 years go (9/10 Pretty cool) Now (6/10 Mediocre) When I first got my SNES one of the two games I got with it was Super Mario All Stars, a compilation of all the greatest Mario games in one cartridge. One of the Mario games I remember playing a lot was the original for the NES. Maybe as a child my standards for game were low so I just replayed this game so much along with Lost worlds, 2 and 3, but playing it today just feels so boring. The design is so boring and it's just so gimped compared to the other original Mario games.

You don't have to put a number higher than/10 to convince us that you like the game. This applies to all, not just a specific person

Banjo Kazooie- About 9 or so years ago: 9.5/10. Today: 9/10. I still love the game, but I find replaying it difficult because it just doesn't have the same comforting feel.

DK 64- 10(?) years ago: 9/10. Today: 9/10. Not perfect, but I still love it.

Goemon's Great Adventure - 8 Years Ago: HOLY CRAP THIS GAME IS HARD 3/10, Now: HOLY CRAP THIS GAME IS HARD 9/10

Castlevania 64 - whenever years ago: THIS GAME IS SO MATURE AND SCARY AND ITS REALLY LIKE IM A MAN 10/10, Now: God this is kind of really lame 5/10

Earthbound - like 7 years ago on my friends SNES: I BEAT AN ARE PEE GEE 10/10, Now: Interesting characters but other than that doesn't really do too much to excel over everything else out there 8/10

Goldeneye - 8 years ago :SO FUN, FPSs R AWSIM PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW OH GOD MULTIPLAYER 10/10, Now: Jesus this game is nearly unplayable, why can't I aim, WHAT THE FUCK. 5/10

Perfect Dark - See Goldeneye

Mischief Makers - 8 years ago: FUCK YOU OLYMPICS 4/10, Now: SHAKE SHAKE. 8/10

Wrench

Star Tropics.
Then: 10/10
Now: 9/10.
Still a great game, but the fucking cemetery brings the score down.

Samus Aran

The Lion King- then: 8/10, now: 3/10. I used to love this silly little platformer on my SNES. Now I can't bear to play most of the levels, and it's really quite boring, honestly. The mini-games suck ass, too.

By the way, Killer Instinct was never rated M. It was rated T. I also have it, and I'm not way too fond of it, but it's not bad.

It was annoying though because sometimes the porcupines wouldn't flip over like they were supposed to. ;-;

The second level was the highlight of the game. After that, it got progressively more boring except for the stampede level.
