Nothing like any other shmup you've ever played before.

The level is just a loop, and you can move to either the left or right and take out the enemy bases on your own pace and in any order. Once they're all destroyed, you fight some awesome boss.

It's disgustingly cute, but notoriously difficult.

VC, considering it came out a long time ago.

And I have Fantasy Zone Gear. It's a pretty awesome shmup. Some people like to call it a "cute-em-up."

I don't remember if it was actually a good game but Ren & Stimpy had a game like that on the SNES. I think you should look into it, I don't think the game would be expensive but I can tell you that it's not the best ever.
