360 is left in the dust behind Wii and PS3 last month

I hardly say that the 360 as "left in the dust" by only 30,000 units. If that's the case, the PS3 was decimated every month last year in NA. Remember, the PS3 beat the Wii for a month in Japan as well. Let's see if this trend will continue or if there really were "shortages". I mean, it even outsold the NDS.

Regardless, Microsoft needs to step up their game in Europe if they want to hold on to second place. Sony is still a far way off from catching up to Microsoft, but they currently have two regions over Microsoft's one.

How did it piss me off? I just find it funny that Sony fans are championing this victory while the eagerly dismissed last year's sales up to November (when the PS3 started picking up).

Like I said, Microsoft needs to get their shit together in Europe if they don't want to Sony to make a come back. It doesn't help that HD-DVD is dead.

I agree, the PlayStation 3 didn't completely blow the Xbox 360 out of the watter, but you have to admit that Microsoft is probably scared shitless right now. Yes, I'm sorry, I was just clumping it with Europe and other PAL territories where the PlayStation 3 is doing well.

We don't often mention the competition, but I will give you some interesting data: In terms of installed base in some of our major markets, such as France, Spain, Germany and Italy - plus some distributor territories in smaller markets like Switzerland - our current cumulative installed base is now higher than Xbox 360.

Oh, definitely. Being outsold in every region by their biggest competitor is not good.

Like I said, they need to kick start Europe. There are some great bundles for the PS3 there, not so much for the 360. Microsoft  doesn't need to worry too much about NA, they pretty much have that region.

They need to drop the price when GTAIV comes out. Insta-win in NA for a good few months right there.

PS3 has only 3 good exclusives right now. I was able to name atleast 5 epic exclusives for the 360 and Wii. Not even Ratchet can make up for the shitty games the PS3 has.
