Go to your controller panel, look for the region/language/date & time icon, select it, click add languages, check the box that says 'Install East Asian fonts', apply, and okay.


Now, you may or may not need your XP disc, for some reason my desktop asks me for an XP disc when I try this, but when I did it on my laptop it didn't.

How do i get it off of FireFox?

Um... you want Firefox to display Japanese characters in the menu?

Go to tools (second from right) -> options (should be at bottom) -> content (the globe) -> and change font.

If that doesn't work, to to Windows Display Properties (right click->properties on desktop) and change the font in "appearance" to one that supports Japanese symbols.
