No, the mountains protect me. I think there was one a year or so before I was born.

Nope. We don't get too many natural disasters here on Long Island. powerofone;
it's good to know that if a tsunami hits the northeast you blue-collar bastards will take the brunt of it

We get the occasional tornado watch, but tornadoes never come near Austin because it's surrounded by hills or something..
Really? I distinctly remember living in a gated community in Austin and getting tornado warnings constantly.

YPrrrr

Yes, they never actually touch down near us though

What sucks is, drowning is one of my biggest fears. :'(

I get frequent tornado watches and warning during the spring and summertime. Nothing ever happens though.
I just don't really care anymore.

Selkie

I have experienced 2 tornado watches in my life.

superclucky

we had one tornado that only broke twigs, yet everyone freaked out
kewns are smelly

Trini

I get one from time to time. But it never touches in my county. The worse things that happened was Hurricane Charlie, which knocked over some trees, power poles, and roof shingles.

I've been in watches and warnings countless times. I live in "Tornado Valley" so saying theres a possibility of a tornado is like saying theres a possibility of the sun coming up today.
