Well I'm sure if games like OoT and MM were updated in terms of visuals for todays standards and newly released, people would have hated them more.

TP just couldn't live up to the memories people had for the older games, and personally I don't blame the game.
It had better gameplay, visuals, everything over the other Zelda's.
What it lacked was something special to remember like the older ones since they were so epic for their time.

At least WW had stylish visuals, not just improved N64 era stuff and the worst ground tiling I've seen on any GCN game I own. :'(
