Why do people like Bomberman and Mario?

They're fun? I grew up on Mario and Bomberman. They typically have great games associated with them. I like great games. They're fun.

Bomberman has reached the point where anything like it can be considered generic. Seriously, there's so many that are just...the same game redone.

Not saying that I don't like Bomberman, but seriously, don't even bother trying to say it's not generic.
