while i of course am always wishing for more activity and doing what i can to encourage it, i'm actually fairly pleased with where we've been as of late

excluding just yesterday, we've been consistently getting 100+posts/day for the past ~5 weeks lol

and that's honestly pretty great compared to the ~300 posts per month we were getting earlier in the year

we've actually already beaten last month by over 1,000 posts and we still have five days to spare lol (keep it up boyos )

i was a little worried that the upgrade to 2.0 would reduce activity, especially because it's so ugly and broken and remains so to date, but somehow those issues don't appear to have affected activity negatively

just so you know, guys, literally over 85% of this year's activity was made in the last three months lol

and if we keep up our minimum of at least 100 new submission/day (hopefully more), we could very well even beat last year's activity, even despite the huge handicap of the first five months of 2018

Yeah those times are seemingly far behind us. Most of us are on the brink of adulthood. It makes sense we will have less time for Boyah as a community.

Now I don't think it's all for the worse though. I personally think Boyah was on the decline until 2.0 came out. Sure it lost a lot of the charm built in from the customized theme and layout but if we want to it is possible to do so.

i don't really miss the aracde as i never used it, but i guess i woukdn't mind having it back

i do miss the shop though, at least a little bit

it allows for some fun shenanigans lüt rewards are potentially a good way to incentivize certain behavior

i also just miss lüts and wish we could find some way to integrate its successor currency lütcoin into boyah

the loss of themes is a bother but there's a lot we could do to make 2.0 more familiar like restoring the message icons and banners and rank colors and whatnot

all in all though 2.0 is way faster and its many annoying glitches don't actually seem to have negatively affected activity lol, but we must fix them eventually

also, "on the brink of adulthood", lol

i know most of us are adults with busy schedules but anime night doesn't necessarily have to be a regular weekly occurrence either, we could only do it as often as a new series we're all interested in comes out or smtbh
