Post things in games that weren't exactly pop-out-at-you scary but still managed to disturb the fuck out of you.
Like this:

This was just adding insult to injury. Not only did you die to the final boss but you have to see this long sequence where the entire fucking world is destroyed as a result of your failure.
Also, that scream. Fuck you, Lavos. :'( I was in a dark room in the middle of the night at the time.
I'll never beat Chrono Trigger. myface;

fuckin' StarKeith.

shadow temple and the well
which will probably both be cleaned up for the remake. also stone tower, if you get into the nerd theory of it.

Motherfucking Arakune...
Well, it wasn't scary, but the first unsettling thing (at least the first couple of times I had to do it) that comes to mind is that airport level in MW2.
REDEADS
The Deku Butler lamenting over his son at the end of Majora's Mask. awdood;
Also, Lavender Town. >.<
Fucking Regenerators in RE4
you guys are missing the point
redeads are just fucking scary, not unsettling

this this this
and just his son in general, like when you first see him
i also never liked link's statue that you get when you play that one song, long before ben and drowned.wmv and everything made it worse
i always thought link's statue was funny

i always thought link's statue was funny
it's always creeped me out lol
honestly there's tons of shit in majora's mask that can potentially creep people out
ikana canyon, the whole area
the dead look of everything, the graveyard, the music box house, the gibdos everywhere
ughh
though that was my favorite area in the game because of its atmosphere alone
ikana canyon is the definition of unsettling, especially without the garo mask because those dialog boxes always pop up about something wanting your blood or whatever.
god i hope i get to replay majora this winter break

same here, the whole place kicks ass
and the song that the music house plays is more creepy than cheerful
sneaking around in mgs3 was unsettling goowan
oh god

awdood;
the fire temple in OoT. Very hard to play still for some reason
DAT MUSIC
also, star wars: shadows of the empire had some weird but chilling vibe to some of the levels like the sewer level
OH
ALSO: LSD for PS1
and Yume Nikki omg ;-;
every part of these games is pretty eerie
so does anyone agree with me about lavos's scream:

wry
i guess
Giygas was a much more unsettling final boss :'(
Taboo on the NES when i was a kid.
that's weird but i also get this funny feeling whenever i jump from a high place in a video game but i think that's normal
Walking into empty rooms in a lot of games can be extremely unsettling. You are always hyped when playing games like say, Half-Life, and this room, so much effort to get to, all this way...
And it's completely empty. Nothing there to even interact with besides the door you came in.
i know a lot of people mention this, but i really do not like that crazy dentist in bioshock, mostly because he just stands there. he'll never even attack you, even if you turn around and look right back at him.
also, nothing unsettles me more than those weird, spastic game crashes in old games where it makes a bunch of garbled noises and the screen goes nuts

imagine playing a game and the game thinks you pirated it even though you didn't :'(
i had the original donkey kong country suddenly quit on me and then go to an anti-emulation screen
only game i ever experienced it in, and it hasn't happened since
One time I was playing Kirby Superstar; I was at the Dynablade level/episode/whatever
I got teleported to Marx for no goddamn reason and the graphics and sound were fucked up and I didn't sleep that night :'(
Quote from: Snowy620 on January 07, 2011, 01:06:28 PM
The first boss in BS1?
Yeah he was weird.
no, he's just a normal doctor-type splicer in the dentist's office...when you go in, a bunch of steam pours in and he disappears, and then when you pick up a tonic on a desk, the steam comes back in, and when you turn around he's standing right behind you

That noise in the last nine seconds of the video gave me a migraine and hopefully not a seizure. o_o
I find the sight of blood in video games unsettling. :x
In God of War III the secret arm room in Hades' Lair :( It gave me the creeps when all of those arms sprouted out of the walls around Kratos.
Those assholes from RE4...the regenerators? Yeah those guys.
Actually, that whole part is creepy

what's unsettling about regenerators is the last one in the game, in the prison cells, if you know the trick that allows you to walk right up to him, without him attacking
In Bioshock I could NEVER harvest a little sister. Still haven't, not even once.
Also not sure if this counts but in the old Pokemon Red/Blue days I used to get goosebumps every single time I did the misingno cheat. Dunno why, but it just creeped me the fuck out seeing that old man on the roof.
Am I the only one who used the Seafoam Islands for Missingno instead of cinnabar?
Slappy.
