i have around 700+ novels and books on my wishlist and i'm not finding it very economically appropriate
15 books on amazon costs around 100 bucks with the shipping and all akudood;
i'd only buy certain books if they're especially rare (rotfl Kazimierz Dabrowski writings) or are dominant in artwork if i had the e-reader to cover everything else :(
has n e 1 used an e-reader??
what is an amazon kindler??
can u save notes n highlite??
what is yr fav. e-reader??
lol wat novels r u reading??
who is kazimierz dabrowski??
also what exactly can an e-reader do
i assume you can only read text and press some arrow to highlight something and that's it
what surprises does technology offer me akudood;
rotfl i ordered a kindle 3 after i decided that i'd get a notebook later on in the year appeasement;

and oh god i wish all my books were 0.01 dollars
most are usually in the 5-15 range
I would say a Kindle is better if you don't care for the Nook's secondary screen.
But, I like my books to be as papery as possible. goowan

ugly;
I am thinking about getting one for christmas.
My main concern is, if the books cost like 9 bucks to download anyway, I would much rather just buy the actual book for the same price or a buck more.

Yeah, I'm trying to get one for Christmas and I definitely agree with your concern.
I don't read very often, but I really enjoy reading, so the way i see it, if I have a kindle or something I will feel obligated to read.

i'll just download open-source books or the pdf. downloads of them
they're free and you can convert them to kindle-format
fuck buying books if the internet is available
i'd only buy books with visual work produced inside of them (ie, Jung's work, art books, instruction manuals, etc.)
Used bookstores: $2-6 paperback, $5-12 hardcover. No shipping, son.
Plus ebooks cannot sell back for profit.

I should start buying books
I want clothes too though
and more videogames
I really need a job
This may be a dumb question but if you don't get the 3G kindle, you can still read the books you already have even if you're not in a wi-fi area correct? You just need wi-fi to download them I assume

Yes. The books are stored on an SD card, and maybe on internal storage too, but I can't remember if the Kindle has any.

some parts of the south haven't changed much, supposedly. not that i've been there, but i've heard that certain parts are "socially segregated" from a navy seal who did stuff down there. basically certain aisles in certain stores are white and others are black, but there aren't any signs people just behave accordingly.
it's weird.
