I guess I'll hold out for self driving cars at this point
self driving cars are the biggest scam in the world

People already suck at driving, imagine how much worse they'll be when their piece of shit Nissan Sentra with "self" driving technology can't drive and they have to do it

true lol, but i think it'll be different once most of the cars on the road have it and they can "network" with each other

but we're def not there yet

I suppose that is a rather terrifying thought. I am basically already one of those people since I can't drive stick sillydood;

I mean to your benefit, it's almost impossible to have a 'normal' car that's manual.  All manual gear boxes are focused on the extreme niche of sports/pony cars, and most sports cars are losing them anyway because they have too much torque.

Besides the Mustang, the Bronco will be the only other vehicle in Ford's (American) lineup with a manual

I'm not sure I can relate to this analogy  akudood;

this is like the opposite of how it is in the UK, basically all cars are manual and auto is really only seen in more "luxury" vehicles
i guess it doesn't really make sense for it to be like that though cuz auto is probably easier and would cause less accidents, but also as somebody who's been driving manual for years not having a clutch would throw me off really hard

bruh i can totally imagine a scenario with someone buying a self-driving car, not having to do any driving for like a year or two, and then all of a sudden they have to drive again because something unexpected happens and they just don't know how to drive at all. it's just accidents waiting to happen

Yeah I remember seeing a British review of a Ford Edge.  I was very bewildered by it having a stick lol

I guess in America the biggest contributor besides being lazy is we see automatics as being a cheap luxury item and demand that their car be luxurious, even if it isn't.

And srsly

ME##

Oh and CAFE standards mean CVTs get fuel economy ratings much higher than manuals or traditional automatics
