anyway, I seem to give people the impression that I don't want to be touched at all by my friends, but I don't mind it and even like stuff like hugging. People also seem surprised when I say I don't mind if they touch my hair.

I've never thought about it to that level of detail? Like, I never thought to myself "wow, I'd really hate it if one of my friends suddenly touched my knee or shin". It's not like people touch me enough for me to have a clear idea of what I'm comfortable with.

For a complete stranger, I'm probably not comfortable being touched at all, even my shoulders would probably bug me. For a lover, probably any part of my body is fine.
