it's not so much the fact that i moved to the south but that i had friends in ny and was very much a suburban white kid who got thrown into a black-majority southern school

being put in "advanced" classes that were covering material that would've been considered several grade levels below in ny was another big problem that i feel like i never really recovered from

the math i was doing in 8th grade in ny was considered advanced for 11th graders in tn. my math education was fucked up because of that.

I said conception because I'd say the biggest problem in my life is my sex and that's the moment I can blame for this
but the implication of "my entire life has been a spiral into shit" is a nice bonus



other than that, I suppose middle school was a pretty bad time for me, which is when:
I stopped having any friends at all
My sheltered upbringing became ridiculous naivete
I became actually aware of gender
I stopped trusting people, especially my family
I noticed school classes slowing down so much that I was constantly bored, never learned anything new, and stopped caring much about homework and grades.
I had like 4-6 hours a day of wasted boredom at daycare because my only way to travel between home and school was with my mom.

but I think things have slowly been getting better since then
