Dunno if it's been asked, but what ultimately made you decide to go through with the transition from male to female?

Side note: In a way, I can sympathize with you about this. I'll just say I've never really felt male...

I have awful personal memory, so I can't really remember, but trying to guess/extrapolate from what little I do know about myself:

I probably also "never really felt male". Without seriously thinking about it, I found myself trying to "pretend" to be female whenever I could for no apparent reason, mostly online and starting around the time I gained an online presence.

But it's not like I outright acted like a girl as a child. I've always taken everything seriously and was an overly-obedient rule-follower, so if anybody ever told me anything like "You shouldn't do that because you're a boy" I would've simply followed that as a rule without question. I imagine my currently-male gender presentation is a direct result of external reinforcement with little to no influence from actual preference. Apparently at least a few traits I had, like strong aversion to dirtiness and calmness/quietness/kindness were seen by my family as more expected from a girl, although that's extremely stereotypical.

I eventually questioned my tendency to "pretend" to be female a year or two after I started doing so, found out that transsexuality is a thing, and probably was immediately glad to find out that gender transition exists without ever "deciding" to. I was a rather sheltered child who also didn't pay attention to things like gender and sexuality, so I was probably pretty late in realizing transsexuality exists (assumed genderbending was a purely fictional thing from cartoons) and didn't even realize what sex is until even later (around the beginning of high school).

I decided on the name Jennifer a long time ago and am sticking to it

Middle names don't really have a purpose, but I'll just feminize my current one: daniel -> danielle. I can't remember the last time I've used more than one letter of my middle name for anything.
