Also, what's up with the people trying to rationalise the AA batteries? 'Better to replace dead batteries than dead controllers '? I've had mine for four and a half years and it still holds a charge fine; I charged it last Wednesday and since then, I've played at least thirty hours which is more than decent for me.

I've never understood people's hatred or dislike of the controllers being able to use AA's. I mean yeah, I get that if it doesn't come with a battery pack then that is kind of bad and I do get that, but this way you can use AA's, rechargeable AA's if you have them, or a battery pack. Or apparent no batteries at all if you have a micro usb cable so you can go back in time to the controllers of old. Which you could sort of do with the 360 and I assume with the PS3 too maybe?

I love the emphasis on features like dpad and USB which other controllers have had for years

I imagine that "even better" is comparing to the transforming dpad.
Although I'd have to try it to be sure, I feel like this dpad looks like it will still be noticeably worse than any of Nintendo's thanks to details like that excessive curve.
