what jmv's using it as should be a separate page, blog.boyah.net, with the status page having a move minimal layout and only showing things relating to actual technical issues, or group that with other important info (pm purges, boyah awards, new features) and make it news.boyah.net

most forum softwares make the index a Community Portal thing so ideally (idk if smf 2.0 does that or will eventually) we can still make a 'homepage' that will be integrated with the forum (and possibly social media or other shit) like we've talked about before.
