need to know. preferring one will not exclude the others from usability (I'm going to make them all useable).

Is it possible to make them all usable? Wouldn't links always lead to one default URL?

Even if the links start with "/" instead of "http://forums.boyah.net/";, the two subdirectory URLs wouldn't work

well I meant I'd choose one as the canonical name, then redirect/rewrite the other 3 to it with whatever method is suitable.
